Our garage opener would not lift the door. I called several vendors I have used in the past but they were all 4-6 days out. I called CR Garage Doors after reading some good reviews and they were able to come that night or the next day. Chase was great with good communication before and during the service call. He was right on time. He diagnosed the broken springs and explained the issues, the repair and cost clearly and did the fixes. He even replaced the J-arm, which was installed too close to the door. He also inspected our other door and replaced the rollers. Both doors now work much much better and faster than before. Prices seem reasonable and I would recommend CR Garage Doors to anyone.

Chase did an incredible job! He was very prompt in addressing the issues we were having with our garage door and sensors! He also recognized an abstract problem we were having with our light bulb causing issues with the mother board. He went above and beyond to take care of his customers. I will definitely personally recommend him to all of my friends and family!

We had our spring break on our garage door and Chase was out within two days to get it fixed. He did a wonderful job. He was very professional, on time, and communicative. He explained the whole process of what needed to be fixed and why. He also did a check through the whole system and reset the garage door. CR Garage Doors is a great local business. I will definitely be using this company for future garage doors needs.

I needed my cable an springs fixed on my garage door. Chase came out and was very professional and made sure to fix the garage door correctly. It was done quickly and he explained all that he did. He is a great person and didn't take advantage of an older single women. I would recommend CR Garage Door to anyone and will call them again for any future garage door needs.

We’ve had Chase out a few times. Found his info randomly on the Internet the first time. First he repaired an old garage door and then replaced that door after a bear trashed it. Same day quotes and less than a month turn-around time. He offered us a garage door opener for sale that was refurbished. Worked great until last weekend when a sensor went out. We called him back and he came today and installed a new unit at no charge. Chase is on time, responds quickly, and is a great person to work with. His high level of integrity and work ethic are exceptional. Highly recommend!

Broken Garage Door Springs

It’s no fun when a garage door spring breaks. At the same time, it’s typically no surprise either.

To simplify, garage door springs are sort of like giant rubber bands. These springs twist or stretch and lift the entire weight of the garage door (sometimes up to 400 pounds) which should lift and roll up overhead with relative ease.

These springs are rated on a specific “cycle life”, which can be mathematically deducted how long a certain spring will last before it breaks.
